How Sports Knee Support Sleeves Help?

Sports training like crossfit requires athletes to have strong, functioning knees for most movements. You’d be hard-pressed to come up with a good WOD that doesn’t put stress on your knees. Over time, all of those squats, dips, lunges, and steps can take a toll. One way to decrease the stress on your knees is to wear sports knee sleeves.

Good sports knee support sleeves can help to stabilize your joints and perform better during WODs and heavy lifts. They add compression to your knees as you exercise, helping your knees function the way they are meant to. The right pair can provide compression, warmth and stability during heavy lifts and workouts.

Levels of Sports Knee Support

Based on levels of protection sports knee support sleeves can range from 1 to 4 (Please note, the knee sleeves we describe here are knitted sleeves, not neoprene sleeves, which are not as good in compression, breathability, durability, and comfort as the seamless weaved knitted knee sleeves.)

Level 1: A Level 1 knee sleeve offers the least amount of support, but is the most flexible, such as our copper compression knee sleeve. It’s best for pain relief and mild to moderate support when remaining fully active. It is good for all day wear or mild exercise like jogging.

Level 2: Level 2 knee sleeves offer more protection than Level 1, they are still flexible enough for a full range of movement. Our sports compression knee sleeve is a good example. You’ll receive mild to moderate knee support for pain relief associated with ligament instabilities and tendonitis. It is good for knee support in running and jumping in basketball, soccer, etc.

Level 3: A Level 3 sleeve, such as our high compression knee sleeve, offers you stronger support and still good movement. The medical-grade compression provide spot-on and consistent compression around knee, giving your knee the best support in heavier sports like crossfit or gym workouts.

Level 4: A level 4 sleeve gives the maximum support with some limited movement. This type of sleeves is also generally heavier. They are most used for strength training and power lifting. Most 5mm or 7mm neoprene sleeves fall in this category. However, given the nature of neoprene, which tends to wear out quick and cannot keep the compression level, athletes have been looking for alternatives. The good news is that we, at SSST, have just developed a great ungraded alternative – the high strength knee sleeve. It is knitted of high quality Nylon, Spandex and Polyester by the newest 3D weaving machine. Our high strength knee sleeves are much stronger than the 7mm neoprene sleeves, and they provide better knee support with long-lasting consistent 360-degree compression. They are much more breathable and durable than neoprene sleeves. They are definitely the upgraded alternative to 5mm and 7mm neoprene knee sleeves. This new high strength knee sleeve will surely bring your performance to next level.
